Educational Qualification


Candidates who have passed class 12 or intermediate exam from the recognized Board in India can apply for the posts.

For the post of Non-Home Guard

For Male:
  1. Normal: Minimum-18     Maximum-25
  2. EWS: Minimum- 18    Maximum-25
  3. BC/EBC: Minimum- 18    Maximum- 27
  4. SC/ST: Minimum-18    Maximum-30
For Female:
  1. Normal: Minimum- 18     Maximum- 25
  2. EWS: Minimum- 18    Maximum- 25
  3. BC/EBC: Minimum- 18    Maximum- 28
  4. SC/ST: Minimum- 18    Maximum- 30
NOTE: Applicants who are not residents of Bihar state will choose general category.

Physical Requirements


Candidate's physical criteria- Height and Chest
No marks will be given for measurements. But candidates who will not able to fulfill the prescribed qualifications will be declared unsuccessful.

(A) Height
  1. For unreserved(General) Men and Backward Classes - Minimum 165 cm.
  2. For Scheduled Castes and Scheduled Tribes - Minimum 160 cm.
  3. For Extreme Backward Class male - 162 cm.
  4. For Women of all categories - 155 cm.
(B) Chest (for men only)
  1. For Unreserved (General)/Backward Classes/Extremely Backward Class Men - 81 cm(normal) and 86 cm(expanded).
  2. For SC/ST Men - 79 cm(normal) and 84 cm(expanded)
